The Mobile Service programme at the Grama Niladhari Divisional level planned to identify the problems of the people of the Badulla and Moneragala Districts will commence on the 02nd of next month. Minister Basil Rajapaksa apprised public representatives, leaders of community organizations and public officials at a discussion at the Parliamentary complex recently of the areas in which the mobile service programme is planned to be launched. The people achieved many benefits following the mobile services launched in three Districts parallel to the Deyata Kirula programme. Minister Basil Rajapaksa pointed out that this has helped to solve many problems. It was also possible to grant many essential facilities which had long been due after identifying the requirements through their views and proposals made by the people. Further expressing his views at this discussion, the Minister asserted that it would be possible to achieve the target of making the country the Wonder of Asia by upgrading the living standards of the people through a more efficient public service. The Minister further said that mobile services will be in place within the Matara, Galle, Hambantota and Ratnapura Districts this year. Present at this discussion were Ministers W.D.J. Seneviratne, Dulles Alahapperuma, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Pavithra Wanniarachchi and Vasudeva Nanayakkara.
