India’s incoming Prime Minister is looking forward to strong relations with Sri Lanka.
India’s newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he is looking forward to strong relations between India and Sri Lanka. The Incoming Prime Minister took to the Twitter to thank the Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa for the President’s congratulatory message on his landslide victory. Modi said it was wonderful speaking to President Rajapaksa yesterday.
The Indian Prime Minister elect, who has over four million followers on the social media website tweeted saying that he looks forward to strong relations between Sri Lanka & India. President Rajapaksa was the first to congratulate Mr. Modi on his landmark win. The President mentioned that he was glad that Mr. Modi would be able to form a stable government with his party’s resounding victory. The Sri Lankan President also extended an invitation to Mr. Modi to visit Sri Lanka at his earliest convenience.
