The SMIDEX 2014 Small and Medium Scale Industrial Exhibition commenced at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Exhibition and Convention Centre in Colombo today.
The Exhibition is being organized for the first time by the Sri Lanka Industrial Development Board. The opening of the SMIDEX 2014 Small and Medium Scale Industrial Exhibition commenced under the patronage of Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
The purpose of holding this Exhibition is to create a salutary market for the small and medium scale entrepreneurs. The Exhibition includes 300 stalls which displays products of small and medium scale industrialists.
An opportunity has been provided for the public to purchase products of high quality at reasonable prices. The Exhibition will run until Sunday.
Senior Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, Ministers Risath Bathiyuideen and Douglas Devananda, Deputy Minister Weerakumara Dissanayake and Chairman of the Lanka Industrial Development Board Navaz Rajabdeen were among those present at the opening of the Exhibition.
