The Agricultural Faculty of the Jaffna University has been opened. It was built at a cost of 253 million rupees.
The opening of the Agricultural Faculty of the Jaffna University took place under the patronage of Ministers S.B. Dissanayake and Douglas Devananda and Northern Governor G.A. Chandrasiri.
The Agricultural Faculty is equipped with an administrative building, a student’s hostel and an auditorium. It was emphasized a noble service would be met for students who are pursuing studies with the opening of the Agricultural Faculty of the Jaffna University.
