No one will be permitted to take law into their hands – President says referring to Alutgama incident
President Rajapaksa has emphasized that the Government will not allow anyone to take the law into their hands and pointed out that the law will be enforced to the letter irrespective of their status.
The Security Sectors had successfully reined in the disturbances that erupted in the Alutgama town. The President who is in Bolivia attending the G 77 Summit in a special message via twitter said that no one would be permitted to take the law into their hands.
In his statement he also emphasized that an investigation will be held for the law to take its course of action to bring to book those responsible for disturbances, without any hesitation.
