One person has been killed in a motor accident which took place in Ratnapura this morning.
The accident happened when a van collided head on with a a van in the Lellopitiya area along the Badulla-Colombo main road.
One person died in this accident while 12 persons who sustained injuries have been admitted to the Ratnapura Hospital. The Ratnapura Traffic Police said the accident had happened as the driver had fallen asleep.
The driver of the bowser has been arrested over the incident while Ratnapura Police are conducting further investigations.
