Police look for a LTTE suspect

Police investigations are continuing to find the LTTE suspect Nilanga Jude Anthony


who buried bombs at Madhu area. Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana requested the pubic to assist Police to nab the suspect. SSP Ajith Rohana said that one suspect escaped and the other was taken into custody when Police conducted a search operation in Madhu area. The suspect taken into custody named Nandarasa Saundranayagam is a resident of Madhu. Police found about 15 kilograms of TNT from his possession. When questioned it was found that the suspect who escaped is also in possession of explosive, TNT. The Terrorist Investigation Division found that he is Gunasekera Mudiyanselage Nilanga Jude Anthony alias Cyril Nilanga Jude Anthony. It was found that he was the LTTE member Illango who is an explosive expert. When the humanitarian operation was going on they have created a fence using bombs from Madhu to Kanagarayankulum. He has taken out the TNT explosives from the bombs and given out to suspects. SSP Ajith Rohana said that the Police need to question him and requested the public to give any information over the telephone numbers provided.

Meanwhile the suspects who misled the public by promising employment in Korea through a website, will be produced in Courts tomorrow. Police have requested the public to be cautious when searching for jobs online. Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana made this request addressing the media at the Police headquarters. SSP Ajith Rohana said that if a job applicant has logged into www.slbflanka.com and paid money to get employment in Korea, he has been deceived. He requested them to go to Criminal Investigations Department tomorrow and lodge a complaint or to do so over the telephone number 011-2320145. He said that the suspects W.A. Tharanga Perera of Ratmalana, Dharshana Udara alias Mohamad Wazeem and his wife Sithi Namja Nilabdeen will be produced in Chief Magistrate’s Court tomorrow. He said that the Police would obtain a Red Notice against the suspect Thushani Kingston Dilhani who has escaped to Italy.
