An opportunity is now available for the public to venerate from today, the Sacred Hair Relics brought from the Gangarama Temple to the precincts of the newly constructed Sandahiru Stupa within the Anuradhapura Sacred Site.
The Sacred Hair Relics which were placed at the Gangarama Temple in Hunupitiya Colombo were brought to Anuradhapura under the guidance of Chief Incumbent of the Temple the Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thera.
The handing over of the Relics to the Secretary Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to be airlifted to Anuradhapura took place at the Ministry premises. The Exposition of the Sacred Hair Relics is now in progress. It will continue until Sunday the 15th.
