A special public transport service is planned for the convenience of the public servants.
Its target is to enhance efficiency in public institutions.
The National Transport Commission is planning to provide a streamlined and more comprehensive public office transport service to cater to the needs of public servants. The aim of this effort is to make an active contribution in public transport to enhance the efficiency of the public service.
Accordingly it is planned to launch public transport services to locations where a majority of public servants are serving. Initially it is planned to provide transport services up to Sethsiripaya. Chairman of the National Transport Commission Renuka Perera said that the second stage will target offices located in Colombo Fort. Also it is planned to solicit the contribution of the Sri Lanka Transport Board and all Provincial Transport Authorities to the implementation of this office transport service.
