No news of girl still

There is no news at all about four and a half year old Pamara Keshali Bandara Wijekoon from Pannawa area in Nikadalupotha, Kurunegala who was abducted while sleeping cuddled to her brother.
The police have confirmed that there is no probability of someone demanding a ransom where this kidnapping is concerned.
In the meantime,a certain woman in the neighbourhood had told the police that she had heard a shouting noise when the girl was being kidnapped.
A kattandia (exorcist) who was in and out of the house has been taken into custody in connection with this case of abduction. It is learned that this kattandiya had maintained a close relationship with members of this family for a period of time and had been very affectionate to Keshali, her elder brother and younger sister as well. In the meantime it is understood that this exorcist had on a number of occasions had asked from the parents to take away Keshali for adoption.
The police say that the parents of the child firmly believe in black magic. This exorcist had been connected to this family on occasions when they had got some charming done.
The exorcist who is a resident of Gampola is a person who has children of marriageable age. This person who is so fond of children has being of the habit of coming frequently to Keshali's house for the purpose of paying them courtesy visits. It is revealed that there had been occasions when he had come and fed and bathed Keshali, her brother and sister.
Though the police had interrogated the suspect-exorcist at length, it had not been possible to extract any significant information about abducted Keshali.
The exorcist who was taken into police custody had even performed a light-reading at Wellawa Police and had remarked that one fair-skinned woman is keeping the toddler in her custody. However, the police say that nothing of what he said could be believed.
The police have also mentioned that the girl's father had been in the Army for sometime and had afterwards resigned on his own. This couple had been living on the income of selling sweetmeat to shops and there is no information to say that they had any enemies as such.
The CID team who carried out investigations on the previous incident of the abduction of Dinindu of Meegalawewa have been assigned this task too of making inquiries over this incident and already investigations are underway.
