Jayalalitha Jeyaram granted bail
The Indian Supreme Court granted bail to former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha Jeyaram.
The Karnataka Supreme Court rejected the bail application made in two instances after Jayalalitha was sentenced to a 4 year jail term under allegations of corruption 21 prior to this.
After her lawyers filed action challenging that verdict to the Indian Supreme Court, subsequent to considering the petition filed by her lawyers she has been allowed bail.
Whatever it is, though she has not been freed from guilt in this case, according to the law of that country if she is still found guilty of this accusation and finds freedom, she would still have to wait for a period of 10 years is she is to enter Politics once more.
