Three wheelers and motor bikes exempted from the new tax for emission test
It was revealed during the budget proposals made on the 20th instant that the emission tax would be increased to Rs 5000/ in respect of all vehicles.
However the Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake had made a clarification on this matter in parliament today. He had said that this increase would not be applied to three wheelers and motor bikes.
However it has not been made clear whether the three wheelers and motor bikes would be completely waived off from this charge.
