The Buddhist Temporalities Amendment Bill has been presented in Parliament. Minister Lakshman Kiriella, the leader of the House presented the Bill to Parliament today. The Amendment Bill contains provision for the Commissioner General, the power to remove the Diyawadana Nilame during stipulated occasions and also to register all Buddhist Places of Worship and Devales.
