The distribution of the first stock of stents among hospitals with the mediation of the Health Minister to be provided free of charge to heart patients commenced today. It was decided to grant stents free of charge following a discussion between Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Cardiologists. Accordingly the Medical Supplies Unit has received 500 stents.
