New doctors for the first time gave a solemn pledge to engage in the medical service in a friendly humanitarian manner. They gave this pledge at the oath taking ceremony held at the BMICH. 1200 doctors gave this pledge. The new doctors who registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council officially received their registration certificate.
