How hundreds of the sangha came to Jaffna Teaching Hospital to donate blood ... to aid scarcity of blood

A news report published some days ago spoke of scarcity of blood in Jaffna and that members of the Army volunteered to donate blood in that instance. Though it was reported that people backed out in donating blood because of a caste issue, Jaffna Hospital later rejected such comments. Whatever it is, the scarcity of blood still remained on a continuous level.

proceeded to undertake a sojourn to Jaffna recently with the intention of donating blood. As such, the bhikkus displaying true reconciliation lied down on hospital beds and engaged in this charitable activity which indeed was a marvellous scene to observe.
