Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal has said that Sri Lanka can no longer go on the experiment mode as there were just six more T20 internationals for the national team before next year’s T20 World Cup. He hinted that he would take the field today in the first of the two T20 internationals against New Zealand at Pallekele with a full-strength local team.
Coach Graham Ford also echoed Chandimal’s line of thinking. Chandimal expressed his desire to have a full strength team despite several of New Zealand’s star players missing from the tour party due to various reasons.
Chandimal acknowledged the poor form of his star striker Lasith Malinga in the ODIs but hoped the slinger would come good today.
