The taxes imposed on imported potatoes, big onions and red onions have been reduced.
The Government has decided to reduce the taxes to provide relief to the consumers during the festive season. The Ministry of Finance and Planning said that the measure was taken on the instructions issued by the President. Accordingly the tax imposed on potatoes will be reduced by 30 rupees and big onions by 25 rupees. Meanwhile the tax on red onions will be reduced by 10 rupees.
