Another stage of the Mahabhimani 2013 finals organized by the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka was launched today.
Competitors from every corner of the country have joined in the competition. Preliminary rounds covering each Districts were held for several months. This competition is the first of its kind to be held in the country. It is being held on the instructions of the Ministry of Engineering Services, Housing and Public Amenities.
The competition for the selection of the Best Excavator Operator was held at the Construction Machinery School at Galkulama in Anuradhapura today under the patronage of Ministry Secretary Wimalasiri Perera. 400 competitors participated in this Division while the Best Excavator Operator will be selected from among 40 finalists. The finals will be staged at the Construction Equipment Training Centre in Battaramulla on Wednesday.
The presentation of awards will take place on Thursday the 5th at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium under the patronage of President Rajapaksa. The Organizing Committee said that a competition will be held to present air tickets to 10 from among the stakeholders in the construction industry who will be arriving at the Stadium to view the Awards festival.
