The renovated Cey-nor dockyard and the boat manufacturing facility have been vested in the public.
The Cey-nor dockyard and the boat manufacturing facility constructed at the expenditure of 230 million rupees were vested in the public under the patronage of Minister Rajitha Senaratne. The facility is manufacturing multi-day vessels according to international standards with a one hundred percent liability. The facility will be used in the future to build ‘Trimorons’, the vessels used in the tourism sector. The multi-day vessels that are 55 feet to 60 feet in length will be constructed in 2 to 5 months. Speaking at the occasion Minister Rajitha Senaratne said that his objective is to make all facilities under the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Ministry profitable.
