Sri Lanka’s 66th Independence has been commemorated in Geneva.
The Sri Lankan community resident in Geneva organized the commemoration of the island’s independence in Geneva. The ceremony was arranged by the Sri Lanka Resident Representative Office of the United Nations in Geneva. It was held under the patronage of the Resident Representative in Geneva Ravinath Ariyasinghe.
Expressing views on the occasion Mr. Ariyasinghe said that Sri Lanka was experiencing rapid development after ending terrorism which scourged the country for 30 years.
