A delegation of the National Defence University of Pakistan, will be arriving in the island today.
The high level 21 member delegation will be headed by Major General Noel Israel Khokhar. The aim to the visit of this delegation is to gain an overview of the defense, economic, domestic and foreign policies of Sri Lanka.
A statement from the Pakistani High Commission in Colombo said it will also help in exploring areas of mutual interest for enhancing mutual cooperation in various spheres.
The delegation will interact with a number of prominent officials from the Sri Lankan Armed Forces and civil institutions including Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Foreign Secretary Kshenuka Seneviratne, Chief of Defence Staff General Jagath Jayasuriya and Chiefs of the Security Forces. During the course of their stay in Sri Lanka, the delegation will visit Jaffna, Trincomalee and Kandy.
