450 more graduates will be appointed to serve as teachers in the Western Province. The handing over of appointments will take place on Monday. Chief Minister of the Western Province said that 450 more graduates will be appointed to the teacher service in the Western Province. The handing over of these appointments is scheduled to take place at the Mahanama Auditorium in Kollupitiya on Monday. The graduates have been selected from among those who sat the competitive examination in the year 2011 and have the suitable qualifications. More than 15 thousand candidates faced the competitive examination for the recruit of teachers. The Chief Minister said that 7500 had been successful in the examination. 5200 of them have already been appointed as teachers in the Province.
