President Rajapaksa declares open two more luxury tourist hotels in the beautiful Southern coast, further expanding facilities for both local and foreign tourists.
A programme is already in place within the country to increase tourist hotel facilities and the construction of new hotels in parallel to the efforts made to attract 2.5 million tourists to the island by the year 2016. Accordingly the newly built tourist hotels in the Bentota and Induruwa areas were declared opened by President Rajapaksa.
The President first opened the Sentara Sea Sand Holiday Resort Hotel in the beautiful beach located in Bentota. It has 165 room and is equipped with all modern facilities. After its opening, the President inspected the hotel. The President was presented with a memento.
The President also declared open the Pandanas Beach Resort Tourist Hotel located in the beautiful sandy beach in Induruwa. It is a five star hotel and has 96 rooms.
