The wives of the Heads of State who are participating in the CHOGM visited the Gangarama temple in Hunupitiya and participated in religious observances.
The First Ladies led by First Lady Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa arrived at the Gangarama temple and participated in religious observances. The Chief Incumbent of the templeVen. Galaboda Gnanissara Thera and Ven. Kirinde Assaji Thera invoked blessings on the First Ladies. They also posed for a group photograph.
Meanwhile the First Ladies also visited the Carlton preschool in Colombo this morning. They were welcomed by the students. The visiting ladies commended the meaningful service rendered by the First Lady through preschool education. They also visited the class rooms and observed the progress of the educational activities and the talent of the children.
