The 2014 budget has given more opportunities to enhance the economy of small and medium scale entrepreneurs and female entrepreneurs. The introduction of an interest free loan is a catalyst for the national economy. These references were made by the Deputy President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka Sujeewa Samaraweera.
Mr. Samaraweera said that overall the National Chamber of Commerce is upbeat about the presentation of a budget for a bright future of the country. The budget has granted special benefits to small and medium scale entrepreneurs. The National Chamber of Commerce highly acclaims these proposals. Special incentives have been granted for female entrepreneurs. He said that the Treasury has given orders to Banks to grant an interest free loan of 250 thousand rupees to these entrepreneurs. He added that they see women entrepreneurs joining in making their contributions to the national economy as a notable feature.
