Members of the Maha Sangha have come under attack from a UNP group.
A conference supporting the tiger terrorists was held at Sirikotha, the United National Party Headquarters. This conspiratorial conference against the motherland was organized by United National Party leader Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Tamil National Alliance, the Diaspora and the Non Governmental Network. The United National Party and Non Governmental Activists had got down to Colombo the parents of suicide terrorists of the tiger outfit who died provided them lodging at Sirikotha last night. Strong protests and demonstrations by the patriotic community were witnessed opposite Sirikotha yesterday and today against this conspiracy against the country.
Members of the Maha Sangha had visited Sirikotha this morning to make inquiries about this conspiracy. However, without making clarifications the United National Party and NGO activists against the country had assaulted the Sangha. Senior members of the United National Party claimed it is unfortunate for the country and the party itself if members of the Sangha are humiliated by the Party which frequently says that it is prepared to carry forward the country based on the advice and guidance of the Sangha. Strong protests have come from within the country on the conspiratorial programme mooted by UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera in collaboration with the NGO network and the Tamil Diaspora against the country, centering the United National Party headquarters.
In the meantime, three members of the Maha Sangha who had been assaulted have been admitted to the accident ward of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital.
Why did members of the Sangha of the Bodu Bala Sena visit Sirikotha, the UNP Headquarters? Who were they looking for? What happened? General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena the Ven. Galagoda-atte Gnanasara Thera summoned a news conference to reveal the truth.
The Ven. Gnanasara said he deplored with revulsion the incident which took place today. The leftists who supported separatism joined a massive party such as the United National Party which is gradually dissolving. It too had shamelessly mingled with this unclean outfit. He said that the material required for Channel Four to produce their films was being created at Sirikotha. He said that the Opposition should be shameful.
How did the UNP transform into a party to provide refuge to parents of tiger suicide cadres who brutally murdered leaders of this country, tiger loyalists who are still determined to devastate the country and to the NGO network which is going against the motherland? Is this the real nature of those who are dreaming of taking over the leadership of the United National Party? Why did they remain silent when members of the Sangha came under attack? The verdict is in the hands of the nation!
