New Ambassadors for Thailand and Afghanistan hand over credentials to the President. The Ambassadors presented their credentials after arriving in the traditional horse carriages.
Nopporn Adchariyavanich, Ambassador designate of the Kingdom of Thailand handed over his credentials to President Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.
Azizuddin Ahmadzada is the Ambassador designate of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He too presented his credentials to the President.
Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris and President’s Secretary Lalith Weeratunge were present on the occasion.
