The Dior couture show by designer Raf Simons is always an anticipated event at Paris Fashion Week. It took place in a purposefully built grotto in the gardens of the Rodin Museum, a setting which heavily reinforced the ideas exposed by the outfits which Simons conceptualized, with its nods to French mid century architecture blended with stark, white, modern lines. Simons tried to portray the intimacy in couture, the sensual, and the distinctly feminine. Intricate decoration adorned the pieces, from concealed cutwork to the layers of embroidered flowers.
