Thalangama Police have arrested a gang of robbers who have broken into several shops and fuel stations in Horana, Piliyandala, Morakatiya, Kahathuduwa and Thalawathugoda areas.
Police have viewed the robberies recorded in CCTV cameras and had been able to detect the gang of robbers. Police have seized a motor car, a motor cycle a sword and several weapons used for robberies. The suspects have confessed to stealing money from 6 fuel stations by threatening the staffs with fake pistols. Further investigations are continuing under the direction of Western Province senior DIG Anura Senanayake.
