A British national responds to fabricated allegations made by the international community on Britain.

Richard Mundy returns to Sri Lanka after making clarifications to Britain which had been deceived.

Everyone’s attention has been drawn to a British national who has come forward on behalf of Sri Lanka when traitors in the island are making various allegations against the country in the presence of the international community. He is Richard Mundy. A Sri Lankan film production team along with Richard Mundy has taken initiatives to take the real situation in Sri Lanka to the world following the actions initiated by the LTTE loyal Tamil Diaspora which had been engaged in a campaign for a long period to smear Sri Lanka’s image.

Although it was necessary to screen this film in Britain before the Human Rights Sessions in Geneva, Britain prevented them from granting any opportunity to do so. Untiring attempts made by this team to go to Britain via the British High Commission in Chennai were futile. However British national Richard Mundy came forward in support of Sri Lanka. He took the film on behalf of Sri Lanka to England.

The film contains genuine information revealed by Jayawadani, an LTTE leader on the tiger outfit. Jayawadani was involved in the final battle in Puthumathalan. It was the Sri Lanka security forces who had saved her when she was wounded in a mortar attack unleashed by the LTTE terrorists. As related by her, some war heroes who had come to rescue her had died. In this film she narrated how the Sri Lankan troops saved her life, risking their own lives. She has revealed how her child, whose father was a member of the sea tiger force, was brought up by the doctors of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.

The humane qualities of the Sri Lankan troops are portrayed throughout this film. Richard Mundy had displayed to Britain via this film the real situation in Sri Lanka. Although responses to allegations made against Sri Lanka cannot be told within a day, the film portrayed many information on Sri Lanka. A significant feature was the presence of all those who contributed to the production of the film at the Katunayake International Airport to welcome Richard Mundy who had made such a great sacrifice on behalf of Sri Lanka on his arrival in the island.

Expressing views at the Airport, Mr. Mundy expressed concern about foreign powers pressing for punitive actions against Sri Lanka rather than helping the Government to develop the North.
