Madu Madhawa Aravinda has made a huge lie to media
On the 24th instant former President Mahinda Rajapksa had visited Abhayaramaya temple in Narahenpita. The artistes who have faith in the
former president too have gathered at that premises to greet the former president. All artistes were given the opportunity to address the media in front of the president. Several aired personnel views to the media. The singer Madu Madhawa Aravinda accused the incumbent president that for the popular singer’s kidney operation to go to India for a kidney transplant had given only a sum of Rs 1 lakh from the president’s fund towards his expenses.
This is absolutely fake information he had divulged to the media. Incumbent president had called for the documentary proof of the proposed expenses for Namal Udugama’s kidney transplant. It had been proposed as Rs 64 lakhs. The incumbent president Maithripala Sirisena as a special case had personally approve a sum of Rs 1 million although usually the grant from the president’s fund for travel abroad for medical purposes is only Rs 4 lakhs.
