Would join with Mahinda and form a government - confession by Maithri
Addressing a meeting at Nuwara Eliya on the 21st instant the
President Maithripala Sirisena had added that he would join with former Presidents Chandrika Kumaratunga and Mahinda Rajapaksa and would form a new government under the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.He had also said that he does not want deprive anyone of any opportunity and had quipped that his intention is for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party to win and the country to win as well. He had also said that he has no intention of allowing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party to split. His intention also was to render the highest sacrifice in regard to this matter.
While speaking on this occasion had said that the former President Chandrika Kumaratunga had helped to fight the war. Also she had done development activities in the country. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had helped to win the war and also helped in the development activities in the country.
Finally the President Maithripala Sirisena had pledged to render all his assistance to unite the party with utmost sacrifice.
