IS MAHINDA FROM RATNAPURA, KURUNEGALA OR GAMPAHA?
After it was confirmed that the former President Mahinda
Rajapaksa could contest for the general election by the united freedom alliance party , the next concern was from where would be contesting? Those who worked with Wimal’s team now say that Mahinda would s contest form their areas.The former minister T B Ekanayake who is contesting from the united peoples freedom alliance has now stated that Mahinda is contesting from Kurunegala district. He says after the approval was granted on the 03rd night by the party.
Earlier Pavithra had stated the Mahinda is contesting from Ratnapura.
Meantime, the Chief Minister of Western Province Prasanna Ranathunga says that Mahinda Rajapaksa was invited from Gampaha district to contest.
But, however the final decision would be taken by the party. The place from where he would contest will be confirmed in the near future.
