He has been accused of giving instructions to abduct a political figure and to assault him.He had been wanted by the police for this offence. It is reported that today the former parliamentarian had produced himself to the Matale police on his own accord.
Today he is to be produced to the Matale Magistrate.The other day four of his supporters had been accused and been arrested by the police for this offence of assaulting another political figure who are now in remand prison.
