The Governor of the North Central province collapses at a function, admitted to ICU
The governor of the North Central province P.B.Dissanayake had attended added the International Elders Day celebrations at the Anuradhapura Saliya pura Elders home, for the National ceremony on behalf of the elders.
While addressing the gathering the governor of the North Central Province P.B.Dissanayake had collapsed and fallen while he was addressing the gathering. He had been immediately admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching hospital for treatment.
After he had fallen on to the stage the people around had helped him to be taken to the hospital.It is reported that he had been air lifted in a Air Force helicopter and flown to the National hospital,Colombo.
It is reported that doctors have kept in the Intensive Care Unit as some internal bleeding has been revealed to have occurred.
