Bus mishap in Talawakelle leaves one woman dead and 40 injured
This morning around 10 a.m a bus carrying
employees of the Tea Research Institute Talawakelle on its way to the Institute had slipped and fallen into a precipice 50 feet deep in the nearby Mattakele estate close to the tea research institute. During this mishap one woman employee had succumbed to death while 40 passengers had been injured some very seriously.The injured persons had been rushed to the closest hospital in Lindula. It is reported that 15 of them with serious injuries had been transferred to the Nuwara Eliya Base hospital.
