The Google Project Loon’s helium-filled balloon which entered Sri Lankan airspace has fallen in to the Pupuressa area in Gampola. This has been confirmed by the Police. However, Minister Harin Fernando mentioned that initiatives were taken to successfully land the balloon in the area. The balloon was launched under a project implemented by the Google
