The Indonesian government will be dispatching 5,000 tons of rice as humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka. As reported in the Indonesian media Indonesian President Joko Widodo has said the food aid had been requested personally by President Maithripala Sirisena. The Indonesian President said that he had responded to the request since it was urgently needed.
