On the occasion when Madam Shiranthi Rajapaksa arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department to be questioned regarding Rugger player Wasim Thajudeen's murder, she was escorted by the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. She was instructed to report to the Criminal Investigation Department in this manner when information concerning the Defender belonging to Siriliya Foundation was found used for the murder of Wasim Thajudeen. Though she was scheduled to be present at the CID yesterday (14) and both today (15), she had allocated today (15) and tomorrow (16) as dates for this purpose. Though Shiranthi Rajapaksa was summoned to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department for questioning even prior to this in connection with this incident and Yoshitha Rajapaksa was notified to be present at Police Financial Criminal Investigation Division, they did not turn up. That was by asking for an excuse saying something relevant about a sudden sick condition.
