The Female Parliamentarians Guild of Sri Lanka Parliament has congratulated the new ‘female heads’ of – state media institutions who were appointed recently. Minister Mangala Samaraweera appointed female heads for ITN, Rupavahini and SALACINE. The parliamentarian’s guild has said they appreciated the appointments in a back ground where female representation in media is not proportionate.
