Fonseka to be sworn in as Minister of Law and Order

The internal sources of the government has reliably reported that after Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka is sworn in as a Member of Parliament he is to be made a cabinet minister and entrusted  with the ministry of Law and Order.

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka the Leader of the Democratic party is to be sworn in on the 09th instant as a Member of Parliament from the national list for
the vacancy created by the demise of the minister of lands MKDS Gunawardena.

The secretary of the democratic party Senaka de Silva had confirmed that the position of Member of Parliament would be accepted by Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka.After President Maithripala Sirisena was appointed  he had restored the civil rights and pension of General Sarath Fonseka and made him a Feld Marshal.

Yahapalaya government is one that has gone  beyond Hitler. When Hitler ruled there were no such things was added by former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa  to the media
personnel when he was leaving the magistrate courts in Kaduwela on the 30th instant.

Gotabhaya Rajapakasa had added when  five persons including Yoshita Rajapaksa  were found guilty in money laundering activities alleged to have taken place at the CSN television institution which were found when investigations were carried out in the past months by the commission for frauds and corruption unit  and when the  Kaduwela magistrate had ordered all of them to be remanded.

He had also added that taking revenge from top politicians is another issue. To take revenge from a 25 year old youngster is wrong. In the history no such case has been reported. What the yahapalanaya government had done during the past one year was taking revenge from them, he had further added.

It is reported that for the forthcoming provincial council and local government elections a new party of an united  opposition would emerge with
the symbol flower 'bud'.

One of the staunch member of the united opposition party a Member of Parliament had said that all the spade work and the constitution of the party have all been completed.

As reported the leaders of the  Mahajana Eksath Peramuna, Dinesh Gunawardena,National Freedom Front,  Wimal Weerawansa,Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, Udaya Gammanpila
and the Democratic Leftist Front, Vasudeva Nanayakkara had toiled to form this united opposition party and it is reliably learnt that some more minority parties and civil organisations are to join them to strength it party further. In this regard discussions between them had already begun it is reported.

It is also reported that this party would be led by the leader of the MEP Dinesh Gunawardena and the fullest support of the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa has been assured for the building the party to higher levels.

It is also learnt that the support of 12- 20 Ministers of the present government has been assured but the manner the support to be rendered has not been known yet.

The leader  of the party Dinesh Gunawardena had added that those who would be given nominations to contest in the forthcoming PC and LG elections have been finalised and these names include former chairmen, vice chairmen ,opposition leaders who had held offices earlier.It has been said that there about 200 members who could be classified in these categories in the new party formed under the symbol flower 'bud'.

The department of Registration of persons and the department of Immigration and Emigration both are dealing with the identity of persons and come under a separate secretariat ministry. These two
offices and the Intelligence services unit are to be shifted to one location to the new building with 20 stories at the Polduwa junction in Battaramulla in March this year

Initially the department of Immigration and Emigration is to be shifted and later the department of registration of persons would be shifted. Hence  thereafter the identity cards and passports would be issued at the same building.

Security of the suspects has been ensured

Prison Media Spokesman Thushara Upuldeniya says that the five suspects including Yoshitha Rajapaksa who were remanded on an order from the Kaduwela Magistrate, have been retained in a normal prison cell. The Prison Media Spokesman said that one of the suspects has been admitted to the Prison Hospital under the instruction of the Prison Doctor.
