The President inspected the Urban Council complex in Horana.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa made a sudden inspection tour to the Horana Urban Council complex last afternoon. The old Magistrate’s Court building which was to be demolished was renovated at the expenditure of 35 million rupees after being acquired by the Ministry of Local Government and Public Administration. The Urban Council started functioning in the new building yesterday. Facilities are provided in the building for the people who visit. The President inspected the building and conversed with the members of the staff. Twenty five million rupees was also offered to develop the weekly fair in Horana. Mayor of Horana Granville Rajapaksa was amongst those who participated in the occasion.
