Motorbikes and trishaws are not permitted to overtake vehicles and reach the railway crossing when the gate is closed.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that motor bikes and three wheelers are not permitted to overtake other vehicles and reach the front when the gate is closed near railway crossings and also at the vicinity of signal lights on highways. This procedure will be adhered from tomorrow.
SSP Ajith Rohana mentioned that buses and heavy vehicles should also ply on the left lane of the highways with effect from tomorrow.
He emphasized that those who flout these regulations will be fined.
