The responsibility and obligation of the politicos should be to love the country and its people.
If hatred was embedded in the heart of the politicos and it is acted upon, the people will respond in like to such malicious politicos. There are examples close to home. Sarath Fonseka who entered politics with hatred, displayed his defamatory politics to the entire country in this manner.
Mr. Fonseka said that one of the former Army Officers Ilangamage went to America and did not return. He defended Ilangamage’s actions but was never thanked. However, Mr. Fonseka said he was sure that this particular person would return and apologize to him.
Fonseka gripped with hate had not learnt a lesson even when he was rejected by the people. He is still displaying his hatred to the world.
Who will tolerate the hatred displayed by Sarath Fonseka towards President Rajapaksa who destroyed Velupillai Prabhakaran, the terrorist branded in the world as the most deadliest and who boasted that no one could rout him. How was it that the ruthless tiger leader Velupillai Prabhakaran seemed better to Sarath Fonseka than President Rajapaksa.
Mr. Fonseka said that the country was now being ruled by a person who is viler than Prabhakaran himself.
Prabhakaran was a brutal tiger leader who disowned children to parents and parents to children and who ruthlessly slaughtered innocent Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim civilians. How can Sarath Fonseka declare to the country that Prabhakaran did not hinder or attempt to murder his children?
Sarath Fonseka said that Prabhakaran did not take revenge from his children. The person who is now ruling the country is contemptible and more cowardly than Prabhakaran.
Isn’t it the patriotic citizens who should take a prudent decision on persons such as Sarath Fonseka who is on a mudslinging political journey while attempting to humanize Prabhakaran.
