Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana says that stern action will be taken against the people who lodge false complaints over 119 emergency telephone line.
He said there were instances where people have lodged false complaints over 119 emergency telephone line. He added that, hereafter Police will take stern action against such people and pointed out that such people were liable to rigorous term of imprisonment and fine under the prevailing law in the country. Therefore, he requested people not use the 119 emergency telephone line for personal animosities.
