The public servants in the Western and Southern Provincial Councils are with the United Peoples Freedom Alliance. The Alliance has scored a magnificent victory in the postal voting. The UPFA has scored a magnificent victory in the Western and Southern Provincial Council elections, according to the results of the postal votes. The UPFA has obtained thirty five thousand two hundred and twenty votes according to the results of the postal votes in the Western Province. The United National Party has obtained only eight thousand seven hundred and one votes. Democratic Party obtained six thousand and nine hundred and fifty five and the JVP three thousand four hundred and eighty two.
