inside classroom in Bambalapitiya
A dead body hanging inside a classroom at Hindu Vidyalaya, Bambalapitiya was found early this morning with a foul smell emanating from it.
The deceased who had hanged himself was the Physical Education teacher in that school, it was found later.
it was understood that the death had occured a few days ago and he had so hanged himself inside an abandoned classroom in he school.
The deceased is a 37 year old resident of Illukkumbura area in Kuliyapitiya and had also been in the teachers' Hostel of Hindu College. Hostel authorities have been upset over his disappearance from a few days' ago.
Whether this is a case of suicide or murder has still not been confirmed and Bambalapitiya police have begun an inquiry on the incident. Even by this time his body has been left to remain in the same position under police guard.
