The Private Sector also joins in the Anuradhapura City Beautification programme. A special programme is already in place to beautify the Anuradhapura City under the aegis of the Private Sector.
The Anuradhapura Municipal Council is launching the programme to beautify the Anuradhapura New City with a historic look.
The opening of the Clock Tower Roundabout launched in parallel to the programme took place under the Mayor H.P. Somadasa today.
The Clock Tower Roundabout was beautified on a concept of the proprietor of Farm Garden Village B. Chandrasiri and with the final contribution of the Bank of Ceylon. Anuradhapura Municipal Councillors, General Manager of the Bank of the North Central Province H.M.P.B. Herath and many officials were present on the occasion.
