Mahinda now pleads to Maithripala for Premier post which he denied him - Dunesh
The deputy Minister Dunesh Gankanda had quipped
that the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had denied the post of Prime Minister to Maithripala Sirisena which he richly deserved to be given. Now Mahinda Rakapaksa in sheer desperation for power is more or less pleading from President Maithripala Sirisena to become Prime minister again. This he said is a ‘joke of fate’ he had added. He had added further that Maithripala Sirisena had made a lot of sacrifices in his life throughout his political career for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. Mahinda Rajapaksa had not only deprived him of this post of Prime Minister, but had made his brother Basil Rajapaksa above him in status by giving him the national organiser post as well.
